The gospel is “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.”
In your CG this week, talk about the gospel. Examine yourself to see if you are in actuality ashamed of the gospel. Spend time with this week’s Scriptures below and reflect with the following questions and prompts:
M: Romans 5:6-8 T: Ephesians 2:1-10 W: 1 Corinthians 1:18 TH: Romans 1:18
HEAR AND OBEY:
What did you hear from the Scriptures concerning the gospel? What truth must you receive by faith? What truth must you declare by faith in evangelism (or sharing the gospel)?
Confess your shame in the gospel. Confess your cowardice in opening your mouth to share the gospel. Confess your unbelief in the gospel. Or, confess personal testimony to how to gospel is the power of God for salvation. Confess how God has used you to boldly share the gospel with another. Confess your belief in the gospel.
Thank God for the gospel and for saving you through the gospel. Thank God for the person who boldly shared the gospel with you and was used to bring you to faith. Thank God for salvation. Pray that God would help your unbelief in the gospel. Pray for your lost friend. You are obligated to share the gospel with them. Pray that words would be given to you by God when you open your mouth to boldly to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord.
