Romans 3:1-8

God is just and righteous, even in his administration of wrath upon the Jew. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and [all, Jew and Gentile] are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:23-24). Through Jesus’ virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death, victorious resurrection, and heavenly ascension, sinners receive, by faith alone, salvation.

In your CG this week, stir one another up to love and good works for the sake of the elect who have not yet received salvation. Spend time with this week’s Scriptures below and reflect with the following questions and prompts.

M: Romans 3:1-9 T: Matthew 9:35-38 W: Isaiah 55:6-7 TH: Philippians 2:1-11

Read Isaiah 55:6-7. What truths do you need to submit to by faith? Does this passage provoke you toward evangelism to the sheep without a shepherd?

Confess to one another your struggle with evangelism. Confess your only hope for salvation. Can you use that and your personal experience of God’s grace as you seek to share the gospel?

Pray for the lost. Share with your group people you are witnessing to. Pray specifically for them. Pray also for Chad in London, Kenneth in Congo, and Jordan in Dubai. Pray also that you would have an urgency to share the gospel with the lost.
